
GO! TEAM GUESTS
Here's a quick guide to some of the guests who've appeared on The Go! Team's
various recordings.
I hope to add to this once the new LP is out but, in the meantime, if anyone has
any corrections or further information please let me know.

DOMINIQUE YOUNG UNIQUE
19 year-old Floridian
rapper Dominique Young Unique delivers her lesson in old-school dexterity on two
new tracks on the forthcoming Go! Team album: 'Apollo Throwdown' and 'Voice Yr

MARINA
RIBATSKI
Former member of Brazilian
band Bonde Do Rolê , the singer/MC now
goes under her real name Marina Vello. She provided vocals, in her native tongue,
on The Go! Team's 'Universal Speech' from 'Proof of Youth'. Since leaving Bonde Do Rolê she's worked with another Go! Team collaborator Soko in 2009.

ROBIN PRIDY
A friend of Ian Parton,
Canadian Robin Pridy sang on two early Go! Team tracks 'Hold Yr Terror Close'
(from 'The Power Is On' 12" and the reissued version of 'Thunder, Lightning,
Strike') and 'Did You feel It Too?' (the b-side of the 'Bottle Rocket' 7").
She also shared vocals with Chi Fukami Taylor on 'I Never Needed It Now So Much'
from 'Proof of Youth'. Robin,
was photographed with Ian in some early Go! Team promo-type photos but has not
played live with the band.

CHUCK D
Public Enemy's No 1 -
heck, need we say more? Yes, actually, we do. Alongside Rakim, provider of
the male voice of rap - and the only male voice ever to grace a Go! Team
track - 'Flashlight Fight' on 'Proof of Youth', Ian Parton making a one-time exception to
the rule. Well you would too if you could have Chuck bloody D on your album! A legend, not only for his musical output (truly great rap albums are a
rare thing - Public Enemy made three), but also for his work in areas of
political and social activism including writing and teaching.
Word up.

BETHANY
COSENTINO
Singer with LA band Best Coast,
whose debut album 'Crazy For You', released in the summer of 2010, went to no.36
in the US Billboard chart and made them the year's most blogged-about band. Ian
Parton was way ahead of the game however, recording two tracks with her back in
2009 - the forthcoming Go! Team single 'Buy Nothing Day' and the new album's

SOKO
French singer and actress
Stéphanie Sokolinski, known as Soko, sings on The Go! Team's forthcoming cover
of Betty and Karen's 'I'm Not Satisfied'.
Describing herself as 'half folky/half punky' she achieved significant
international acclaim, particularly in Europe and Australia, with her track
'I'll Kill Her' in 2007. Her live shows are often impromptu affairs promoted

THE DOUBLE DUTCH DIVAS
The Double Dutch Divas are a
group of women in their 40's, and 50's who, as their website confirms, 'defy the
demons of time by jumping double dutch....dancing within the ropes, twirling,
turning, twisting, and doing fancy footwork to a variety of music as well as
original songs composed by them'. Alongside
Marina Ribatski
and the Rappers Delight Club they provided vocals on 'Universal Speech' from
'Proof of Youth'. Check out their website

SATOMI
MATSUZAKI
Singer and bassist in the San
Francisco-based Deerhoof, Satomi sings on the band's forthcoming track
'Secretary Song'. Deerhoof have been a long-term favourite of The Go! Team, who
played the Sonic City weekender, curated by Deerhoof, in Belgium earlier
this year. And, like The Go! Team, they also a new LP out in January 2011. Check

THE FULLFAT HORNS
A London-based horn section who provided the brass for The Go! Team on their BBC
Radio 1 session in February 2008 for the Colin Murray Show, adding to and/or
replacing the band's horn samples on three tracks - 'Titanic
Vandalism', 'Grip Like A Vice' and 'Keys To The City'. Website

RAPPERS DELIGHT CLUB
The Rappers Delight Club
is a rotating group of American
elementary and middle school rappers from Silver Spring,
Maryland. The group ranges in ages from five to twelve, who all write
their own material and rap over samples. RDC
contributed vocals to The Go! Team track 'Universal Speech' on 'Proof of Youth' and then went on to do their
own excellent version/mix of the track which is available on their Myspace page
here.

LISPECTOR
'Bedroom Recordings Since
1996' reads her website - Bordeaux's Lispector has amassed an astonishing and
impressive collection of home-made recordings, many of which are available
through her website. She provides the vocals on 'Ready To Go Steady' from the
forthcoming 'Rolling Blackouts' album. Head straight for her website jukebox

Brooklyn-based trio who feature
alongside Bethany Cosentino on Buy Nothing Day .

YUKO ARAKI
A Japanese drummer and
percussionist who has performed with artists such as Cornelius, Mike Watt and
Coil. She performs on The Go! Team's Secretary Song. Check out her Facebook page

ANGELE DAVID-GUILLOU
French singer and actress now
based in London and presently recording under the name Klima. Angele shares
vocals with Bethany Cosentino on the title track of 'Rolling Blackouts'.

THE LONDON AFRICAN GOSPEL CHOIR
The London African Gospel
Choir was founded by the East African community in London to 'promote the gospel,
create a platform of excellence for African gospel singers and musicians, and
popularise the superb gospel songs that have sprung from Africa'. Ian Parton
recorded the choir at their base in south-east London for the track 'The Running
Range' on the 'Rolling Blackouts' album. Visit their website

SOLEX
Dutch 'electro diva' Elisabeth
Esselink aka Solex has been making records since the late 90s. Based in
Amsterdam, she also ran her own record store and
assembled her first album, Solex Vs. the
Hitmeister, on an antique 8-track
recorder, singing over samples of records she'd been unable to sell in her shop.
She did the vocals on the 'Proof of Youth track 'Fake ID'.
